Red, White and WOW!
This Labor Day, think high impact, low effort with patriotic platters. From savory snacks to sweet treats, the possibilities are endless. And so, so easy! Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Red foods: Strawberries, pomegranate seeds, raspberries, red bell peppers, apple slices, cured salami or cherry tomatoes.
White foods: Cheese of all sorts, crackers, whipped topping or icing to dip fruit in, cauliflower, cashews, or ranch dressing.
Blue foods: Blueberries, blackberries, concord grapes, bleu cheese, or blue corn chips.
Stars: Star-shaped cutters can turn regular food into star-spangled snacks. Try ingredients like brie, sliced white cheddar cheese, sliced meats, watermelon slices or toasted bread. Cookie cutters can then be used to hold dipping sauces, jellies, seeds or nuts.
Stripes: Arrange colors together in a stripe-like pattern, if desired.
