With roots in Central Mexico, our white, fresh and smooth Panela cheese has a mild creamy, slightly tangy flavor with a firm texture. It’s similar to Queso Fresco but less crumbly, and its curd style can be described as a cross between a firm ricotta and halloumi cheeses. It pairs well with both savory and sweet dishes. What’s more, it’s gluten-free and made with Grade “A” milk from cows not treated with rBST.
