Sweeter than a crisp and as easy as pie, this seasonal crumble serves up fresh basil alongside ripe strawberries and whipped cream for a summer treat to savor.

Ingredients
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
6 cups halved fresh strawberries
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
1 pouch Betty Crocker™ oatmeal cookie mix
½ cup butter, softened
Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed, if desired
Fresh basil leaves, if desired
Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In large bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch. Stir in strawberries and chopped basil. Spoon into baking dish.
  3. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix and butter with fork until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over strawberry mixture.
  4. Bake 50 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm with whipped topping. Garnish with basil leaves.
