Brewed with pride by The Leinenkugel Family for six generations. Since 1867. When Jacob Leinenkugel started his brewery in 1867 in Chippewa falls, Wisconsin, his kettle was brimming with beer he considered to be good as gold. Over 150 years and 6 generations later, we're still proudly Brewing Leinenkugel's original, a classic american pilsner, just as we did in 1867. Cheers! Since 1867, the Leinenkugel family have brewed beer in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Also known as the Northwoods, it is here among the wooded hillsides, numerous lakes, and swift flowing rivers that our family found a special place to brew our authentic beers using the finest ingredients and time-honored traditions. The Northwoods have long been known as Indian head country. So named because it was thought that the St. Croix river, the boundary between Wisconsin and Minnesota, formed the profile of a native american. It is for this reason that Jacob lLinenkugel chose the image of a native american woman to grace the label of his beers, to pay homage to the local people and their home. The next time you are in our neck of the woods, come visit us at Chippewa Falls Brewery and the Leinie lodge to understand where we started. The Leinenkugel family. Established 1867. Corn syrup is used as part of the brewing process only. Leinienkugel's never uses high fructose corn syrup. Celebrate responsibly. Facebook: facebook.com/Leinenkugels. Twitter: (at)leinenkugels.
