High West Whiskey, Bourye, 750 Millilitre, $119.99
Limited sighting. The jackalope, also called an Antelabbit, is an antlered species of rabbit, a cross between a jack rabbit and an antelope. It is rumored that pockets of jackalope populations continue to persist in the American West, its native home. In the old West, when cowboys would gather by their campfires to sing at night, jackalopes would frequently be heard singing back, mimicking the voices of the cowboys. When chased, the jackalope will use its vocal abilities to elude capture. For instance, when chased by people it will call out phrases such as, 'There he goes, over there,' in order to throw pursuers off its track. Legend suggests the best way to catch a jackalope is to lure it with whiskey, as they have a particular fondness for this drink. Once intoxicated, the animal becomes slower and easier to hunt (believe it or not, all this mythology is true, we didn't make any of this up). That's why High West created Bourye, our proprietary blend of mature Bourbon and Rye, both favorites of real cowboys and sure to attract even the most finicky of jackalopes. All whiskeys in this carefully crafted blend are a minimum of 10 years old and sourced from multiple distilleries. See highwest.com for technical details and sourcing, that's not a secret. However, the proportions are! Bourye is best enjoyed around a campfire while looking at the Milky Way, Important! Jackalopes will attack if cornered or provoked. To avoid injury, quickly fall to the ground, remain calm and still, while humming the Roy Rogers song, 'Happy Trails to You' (we did make this up!). -Founder, David Perkins. Master Distiller, Brendan Coyle. Not chill filtered. Front artwork: Jacob Theodor Klein Summa Dubiorum, 1743. High West's home in historic Old Town Park City and the world's only ski-in gastro-distillery.

Laphroaig Scotch Whisky Single Malt, 750 Millilitre, $57.99
Experience the quintessential flavor of Laphroaig 10. Crafted to a generations-old method on the Scottish island of Islay, it’s the perfect introduction to peated whisky. This special edition is packaged in a twisted tube. A classic dram, this full-bodied single malt has a surprising sweetness which leads into a long, warming finish. Each sip brings complicated notes of smoke, seaweed, peat and a hint of salt – like a bracing fall day on Scotland's rugged coast. The rich flavour of this Laphroaig Scotch makes it a staple choice, ideal for novices and connoisseurs alike. It's best-served neat or poured over ice. Laphroaig 10 gets its distinctive taste from the natural features of Islay, the remote and rugged island off the West Coast of Scotland where the whisky is made. Local water is sourced from the legendary Kilbride Stream, and the malted barley is cold-smoked then dried over a fire fuelled by the unique Islay peat. This lends a distinctive flavour that speaks of the land where it was forged. It also has a one-of-a-kind distilling process, which has been developed and refined over the course of 200 years by a succession of passionate master distillers. One of whom was Ian Hunter, who laid down the process for Laphroaig 10 more than 75 years ago: and it remains unchanged to this day. Founded on Islay in 1815, the Laphroaig distillery has been creating truly unique Scotch whisky for over two centuries. Laphroaig 10 is the quintessential expression of the style, and is used as the foundation for other Laphroaig whiskies. Laphroaig 10 has won multiple awards, including a Gold medal at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It was also named in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible as 2019's Best Single Malt Scotch 10 Years & Under.
