COVID-19 Testing & Information

Cub Pharmacy offers COVID-19 saliva testing kits at 10 of our locations. Simply call ahead, then visit the pharmacy drive-thru window to purchase a kit (kits can be purchased for $140, and while not billed through your insurer, you may be able to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement of the cost of the kit).

How a COVID-19 Saliva Test Works

The COVID-19 mail-in test is an easy, low-contact way to get tested for the novel coronavirus. Upon receiving the kit from one of our participating pharmacies, you will take the kit home, collect the saliva sample, and mail it to our testing partner in the prepaid envelope that’s included with the kit. Once received, you can expect emailed results within 24-72 hours.

Kits are available to patients of any age. They may also be purchased for future use and do not need to be used immediately. Call one of our participating pharmacies, listed below, for more information:

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How will I know when Cub Pharmacy starts vaccinating against COVID?

A: We encourage all customers to sign up for Cub email messages, as we will use this tool to communicate when we have vaccine available. You may also visit the Cub Pharmacy webpage or call into any pharmacy to listen to the automated phone message, as both will be updated with COVID vaccine information when available.

Q:  When will Cub Pharmacy have COVID vaccines available?

A:  At this time, we do not know when the vaccine will be readily available to the general public. We will likely have the vaccine directly after Phase 1 (administered to health care workers and high-risk populations) is completed. The timing is highly dependent on how many vaccine manufacturers receive emergency use authorization and how quickly they can produce and ship the vaccine.

Q:  Can I schedule an appointment or reserve a vaccine?

A:  At this time, we plan to administer COVID vaccines by appointment only to manage demand. This plan may shift overtime as vaccine availability fluctuates. More information will be available soon on when and how to schedule an appointment for a COVID vaccine—check back for updated details.

Q:  Where can I find more information about COVID and COVID vaccine?

A:  Visit and/or to learn more about protecting you and your family against COVID-19.
